On the Ludicrous 2nd Amendment Zealotry

America is a country where the price of an antiquated Amendment is a classroom full of children. Over and over again.

The acceptable level of gun related violence should be exactly zero, regardless of the human or the implications to our “freedom.” As if owning a gun in America is hard. It’s as easy as being 18 and emotionally catastrophic.

I’ve heard people in Oklahoma say if this is what it takes to preserve gun rights, then that’s what we must bear. I imagine this is more common a thread amongst conservative Americans than we hear out loud.

As if gun rights are god given but ensuring our kids safety is just a thing we have to keep figuring out. Disgusting. And completely anti-life.

God bless Uvalde and those families who (again) suffer our inability to do what’s right because what enriches us personally matters more. Truly pathetic.
